The words for the anthem of the province are the words commonly used with the Ode to Newfoundland , written by Sir Cavendish Boyle, Governor of Newfoundland from 1901 to 1904. 1979 c16 s2 Back to Top Music 3. The music for the anthem of the province is the music that is commonly used with the Ode to Newfoundland . This music was composed by Sir C. Hubert H. Parry and approved and officially recognized for the Ode to Newfoundland by Minute of the Committee of the Honourable the Executive Council of Newfoundland on May 20, 1904 , that directed that the music be printed and copyrighted. 1979 c16 s3 Back to Top Words and music 4.
