NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 40/01 Town of Labrador City Order, 2001 under the Municipalities Act, 1999 (O.C. 2001-307) (Filed June 18, 2001 ) Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act , 1999 the Lieutenant Governor in Council makes the following Order. This Order may be cited as the Town of Labrador City Order , 2001. Back to Top Boundaries 2. The boundaries of Town of Labrador City are as set out in the Schedule. Back to Top Repeal 3. The Town of Labrador City Order , Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 268/96 is repealed. Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point on the northern shoreline of The Narrows between Little Wabush Lake and Wabush Lake , that point being the eastern abutment of the bridge spanning The Narrows; Then in a northerly direction along the western shoreline of Wabush Lake, a distance of 400 metres, more or less; Then due east 200 metres, more or less, to a point, NAD27, UTM coordinates north 5,867,854 metres and east 641,719 metres; that point being on the southeast corner of land conveyed to the Town of Labrador City via the Iron Ore Company of Canada, and being registered at the Registry of Deeds, Roll 1964 and Frame 45, and having corresponding NAD 83, UTM coordinates north 5,867,932.78 metres and east 345,781.40 metres; Then following that survey in a northwesterly direction north 01 ° 28 ' 01 " east, 49.16 metres; north 38 ° 25 ' 22 " west, 110.11 metres; north 38 ° 25 ' 22 " west, 99.92 metres, north 06 ° 02 ' 48 " west, 22.92 metres; north 33 ° 55 ' 19 " west, 36.16 metres; north 30 ° 29 ' 29 " west, 201.00 metres; north 54 ° 55 ' 14 " west, 27.29 metres; north 07 ° 17 ' 14 " west, 186.94 metres; Then north 71 ° 00 ' west 350 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the intersection of Avalon Drive and the road to the IOC Mill; Then north 15 ° 30 ' west, 575 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 4 ° 30 ' east, 850 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 41 ° 00 ' east, 525 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 48 ° 00 ' east, 600 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 2 ° 00 ' east, 925 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 42 ° 00 ' west, 2,325 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then north 80 ° 00 ' west, 1,450 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then south 64 ° 30 ' west, 1,000 metres, more or less, to a high point (Northwest Territories Peak); Then south 62 ° 30 ' west, 1,900 metres, more or less, to a high point ( Yukon Peak ); Then south 24 ° 00 ' west, 3,000 metres, more or less, to a high point ; Then south 21 ° 00 ' east, 4,175 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern shoreline of Canning Lake at the northern bank of the canal between Canning Lake and Harrie Lake; Then following the northern shoreline of that canal to Harrie Lake and then along the northern shoreline of Harrie Lake to a canal between Harrie Lake and Little Wabush Lake and then along that canal to the western shoreline of Wabush Lake ; Then along the centre line of Little Wabush Lake to a point on the south shore of the Narrows separating Little Wabush Lake and Wabush Lake and designated as Post No. 1 of Block 22-10; Then in a northerly direction crossing the Narrows to a point on the northern shoreline at the eastern abutment of the bridge spanning the Narrows , the point of beginning. All bearings refer to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 NTS mapping and with reference to the survey at the Registry of Deeds. ©Earl G.
