NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 68/08 Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm Order under the Municipalities Act, 1999 (O.C. 2008-296) (Filed November 7, 2008 ) Under the authority of sections 3, 6 and 12 of the Municipalities Act, 1999 the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. Commencement Schedule Short title 1. This order may be cited as the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm Order . Back to Top Amalgamation 2. The Town of Roddickton and the Town of Bide Arm are amalgamated as the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm. Back to Top Assets and liabilities 3. All assets and liabilities of the Town of Roddickton and the Town of Bide Arm are to be assumed by the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm. Back to Top Town council 4. The town council of the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm is established to control and manage the town in accordance with the Act. Back to Top Boundaries 5. The boundaries of the Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm are as set out in the Schedule. Back to Top Repeal 6. The Town of Roddickton Order , Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 399/96, and the Town of Bide Arm Order, Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 44/96, are repealed. Back to Top Commencement 7. This Order shall come into force on January 1, 2009 . Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point, that point being the intersection of the eastern bank of Northeast Brook and the northern side of a bridge on Route 433 where Route 433 passes over Northeast Brook; Then running north 89° 13' east a distance of 1,150 metres, more or less; Then running south 0° 46 east a distance of 3,900 metres, more or less; Then running south 12° 46 east a distance of 4,300 metres, more or less; Then running north 89° 13 east a distance of 900 metres, more or less; Then running south 1° 36 east a distance of 6,070 metres, more or less, to the northernmost point of Big Burnt Brook Pond; Then following the eastern shoreline of Big Burnt Brook Pond in a generally southwesterly direction to where a brook flows out of that pond; Then following the brook in a generally westerly direction along the centreline of the brook to the eastern shoreline of Bide Arm; Then running in a generally northerly direction along the eastern shoreline to the most northerly point of Bide Arm; and Then running in a generally southerly direction along the western shoreline of Bide Arm to a point having coordinates north 5 626 752 and east 562 727 metres; Then running south 89° 13 west a distance of 2,360 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern shoreline of Chimney Bay at the mouth of a small brook which flows from Timber Pond; Then in a generally northerly direction along the eastern shoreline of Chimney Bay, passing Cabin Point, Chaine Point, Dowers Harbour, Scott Point, Roddickton, Adamson Point, and Muddy Hole to a point where Northeast Brook flows into Northeast Arm and continuing along the eastern bank of Northeast Brook to the point of beginning. ©Earl G.
