CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 83/96 Town of Bay Bulls Order under the Municipalities Act (O.C. 96-170) Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Bay Bulls Order . Back to Top Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Bay Bulls are as set out in the Schedule. Back to Top Repeal 3. Newfoundland Regulation 158/85 is repealed. Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point, that point being the highwater mark on the easternmost extremity of South Head situate on the headlands between Witless Bay and Bay Bulls; Then north 66° 15' west a distance of 2,550 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the summit of Twelve O'Clock Hill; Then north 78° 30' west a distance of 2,100 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the intersection of southern bank of an unnamed brook which flows out of Maggotty Cove Pond and the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway; Then north 78° 30' west a distance of 540 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern side of the Witless Bay Line, that point being on a line perpendicular to and 80 metres from the centre line of the Witless Bay Line; Then in a northwesterly direction along a line parallel to and 80 metres from the centre line of the road to a point, that point being the centre line of a right-of-way of the hydro line which crosses the centre line of the Witless Bay Line 1,640 metres, more or less, northwest of the intersection of the Witless Bay Line and the Southern Shore Highway; Then in a northerly direction along the centre line of the right-of-way a distance of 2,200 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the intersection of the right-of-way with the northern bank of an unnamed brook which flows out of an unnamed pond; Then north 44° 30' east a distance of 1,770 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being an iron bar on the northernmost extremity of the boundary of the waste material disposal area of the Bay Bulls area; Then north 31° 00' east a distance of 1,210 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the northeastern extremity of Long Pond at which point an unnamed brook flows into that pond; Then in a northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline of the pond to a point, that point being the mouth of an unnamed brook at the northernmost extremity of the pond; Then in a northerly direction along the western bank of the brook a distance of 885 metres, more or less, to a point; Then south 76° 00' east a distance of 318 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway, Route 10, that point south 21° east 160 metres from Crown Land monument No. 026727, spot elevation 162.7 metres; Then south 76° 00' east 319 metres, more or less, to a point; Then south 48° 30' east a distance of 1,240 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being a bench mark (No. 710001, north 5 245 483.101, east 320 690.069 Crown Land reference) of known elevation of 271 metres on a height of land referred to as American Man; Then south 59° 30' east a distance of 4,250 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the highwater mark in a small cove at the northern extremity of Beach Head; Then in a southerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline at highwater mark passing Bull Head, Boone Point, Bay Bulls, Quail Point, Island Cove, to South Head, the point of beginning. All bearings being referred to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:12,500 scale with references to the 1:2500 and 1:50,000 topographic maps. 158/85 ©Earl G.
