CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 156/96 Town of Forteau Order under the Municipalities Act (O.C. 96-170) Amended by: 1996 c25 (Changes communities to towns) CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 156/96 Town of Forteau Order under the Municipalities Act (O.C. 96-170) Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Forteau Order . CNR 156/96 s1 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Forteau are as set out in the Schedule. CNR 156/96 s2 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Repeal 3. Newfoundland Regulations 646/78 and 204/83 are repealed. CNR 156/96 s3 Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point, that point being on the eastern shoreline of Forteau Bay and known as Chimney Head; Then due west a distance of 600 metres, more or less; Then north 17° west a distance of 4,200 metres, more or less; Then north 46° east to the southern shoreline of an unnamed pond a distance of 950 metres, more or less; Then along the southern shoreline of the aforementioned unnamed pond in a generally northeasterly direction to the intersection of the pond and the western bank of Forteau Brook a distance of approximately 800 metres, more or less; Then south 78° 30' east a distance of 2,400 metres, more or less; Then due south to the shoreline of Forteau Bay a distance of 2,400 metres, more or less; Then along the shoreline of Forteau Bay in a generally northwesterly and southerly direction passing English Point, Grassy Point, Salmon Point, Admiral Point to the point of beginning a distance of approximately 6,350 metres.
