ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Port Rexton Order . CNR 349/96 s1 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Port Rexton are as set out in the Schedule. CNR 349/96 s2 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Repeal 3. Newfoundland Regulations 784/78 and 211/92 are repealed. CNR 349/96 s3 Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the southernmost extremity of Sherwink Head; Then north 5° 00' west 667 metres, more or less, to the height of land, spot elevation 73.2 metres; Then north 2° 30' east 900 metres, more or less, to a point on the old railway right-of-way, that point being located 30 metres west of the intersection of the centre lines of the right-of-way and of Long Point Road; Then north 29° 00' west 382 metres, more or less, to the height of land, spot elevation 34.8 metres; Then north 48° 30' west 715 metres, more or less, to the southeastern extremity of an unnamed pond, elevation 42.2 metres, more or less; Then in a generally northerly direction following the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of the unnamed pond and of the 2 ponds immediately to the north, including connecting waterways, to a point on the northeasternmost extremity of the third pond, elevation 38.8 metres, more or less, that point being where the third pond empties into an unnamed stream; Then in a generally northerly direction following the sinuosities of the eastern bank of the stream to and continuing north along the eastern bank of an unnamed river to a bridge that carries Route 230 over the river; Then in a generally northerly direction following the sinuosities of the eastern bank of the river to the northeastern abutment of a bridge that carries Route 236 over the river; Then in a generally easterly direction a distance of 4,400 metres, more or less, to a point where First Pond empties into Salmon Cove River; Then in a generally southerly direction following the sinuosities of the western bank of the river to the southwestern abutment of a bridge that carries Route 230 over the river; Then in a generally southerly direction following the sinuosities of the western bank of the river and of the northern shoreline of Champney's Cove to the northwesternmost penetration of the sea into the neck of the peninsula connecting the settlements of Champney's Arm and Champney's West, at Herring Cove; Then in a generally westerly direction crossing the peninsula and then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Robinhood Bay to Sherwink Head, the point of beginning.
