CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 389/96 Town of River of Ponds Order under the Municipalities Act (O.C. 96-170) Amended by: 1996 c25 (Changes communities to towns) CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 389/96 Town of River of Ponds Order under the Municipalities Act (O.C. 96-170) Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of River of Ponds Order . CNR 389/96 s1 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of River of Ponds are as set out in the Schedule. CNR 389/96 s2 ; 1996 c25 Back to Top Repeal 3. Newfoundland Regulation 800/78 is repealed. CNR 389/96 s3 Back to Top Schedule Beginning at a point, that point being on the centre line of Route 73, north of the town, where the road crosses the stream flowing from Little Brook Pond to Bad Bay; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Little Brook Pond in a generally southerly direction to a point, that point being on the shoreline and a distance of 300 metres, more or less, north of Route 73; Then running parallel to and a distance of 300 metres from that road to a point on the centre line of Route 73 west, that point being 425 metres, more or less, north of the intersection on Route 73; Then south 6° 30' east a distance of 2,450 metres, more or less, to a point on the northwestern shoreline of River of Ponds Lake; Then north 76° 30' west a distance of 3,175 metres, more or less, to a point on the shoreline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence where an unnamed stream flows into the Gulf; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly direction around Bad Bay to the point where the stream flows from Little Brook Pond into that bay; Then following the southern bank of that stream to the point of commencement.
