CNLR 795/96 - Marble Mountain Protected Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act

CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 795/96 Marble Mountain Protected Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act (O.C. 96-223) Under the authority of section 58 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council declares the area described to be the Marble Mountain Protected Area . MARBLE MOUNTAIN PROTECTED AREA Beginning at a point on the southern bank of the Humber River, that point being coincident with the western end of the Steady Brook Municipal Planning Area, the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area and the northern edge of the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, more specifically having UTM co-ordinates north 5 422 050, east 438 175; Then in a northeasterly direction along the northern edge of the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, to a point, more or less, due north of a cut-off portion of the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway, more specifically having UTM co-ordinates north 5 422 175, east 438 800; Then due south to a point being the western intersection of the Trans Canada Highway and the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway, more specifically having UTM co-ordinates north 5 425 100, east 439 850; Then along the northern edge of the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway to a point being the eastern intersection of the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway and the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, more specifically having UTM co-ordinates north 5 422 350, east 439 850; Then north 60° 30' west 29 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern edge of the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, more specifically having UTM co-ordinates north 5 422 400, east 439 850; Then in a northeasterly direction along the northern edge of the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1, to a point having UTM co-ordinates north 5 423 750, east 441 000; Then north 64° east a distance of 1,400 metres, more or less, to a point on the western bank of Parsons Brook; Then in a generally southeasterly direction along the western bank of Parsons Brook to a point where that brook flows out of an unnamed pond; Then south 45° 30' east a distance of 4,800 metres, more or less, to a point on the westernmost end of Line Pond; Then south 16° west a distance of 3,050 metres, more or less, to a point being also the easternmost limit of the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area having UTM co-ordinates north 5 417 450, east 445 650; Then following the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area Boundary north 78° 30' west a distance of 6,000 metres, more or less; Then continuing along the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area Boundary south 89° west a distance of 850 metres, more or less; Then south 82° 30' west a distance of 700 metres, more or less; Then due north a distance of 2,450 metres, more or less, to the point of commencement. All bearings refer to grid north as with distances are subject to approximation. 128/95 The Marble Mountain Protected Area, 1995, Newfoundland Regulation 128/95, is repealed. ©Earl G.
