CNLR 905/96 - Port au Choix Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act

CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 905/96 Port au Choix Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act (O.C. 96-173) Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Port au Choix Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING AREA Beginning at a point, that point being the most westerly point of Pointe Riche at the highwater mark in the Gulf of St. Lawrence ; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly and easterly direction passing through Black Point, Barbace Point, Back Arm to a point, that point being at the mouth of a river which flows into St. John Bay ; Then south 5° west a distance of 550 metres, more or less, to where that river crosses former Highway 73; Then south 16° west a distance of 5,000 metres, more or less, to a point on the common boundary between Port Saunders and Port au Choix; Then following the common boundary south 69° 30' west a distance of 1,900 metres, more or less, to the northeastern extremity of an unnamed pond; Then following the sinuosities of the southern bank of that pond in a generally westerly direction to the most westerly extremity of that pond; Then running along the eastern bank of a river which flows out of the unnamed pond and into the Ingornachoix Bay ; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly direction passing through Gargamelle Cove to the point of beginning.
