CNLR 915/96 - Red Bay Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act

CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 915/96 Red Bay Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act (O.C. 96-173) Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Red Bay Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING AREA Beginning at a point at the highwater mark in Little Capstan Cove where an unnamed brook flows into Little Capstan Cove; Then following the western bank of that brook in a generally northerly direction a distance of 100 metres, more or less, to the southern end of an unnamed pond; Then along the western shoreline of that pond in a generally northerly direction a distance of 150 metres, more or less, to the northern end of the pond where an unnamed brook flows into the pond; Then along the western bank of the brook in a generally northerly direction a distance of 700 metres, more or less, to the southern end of an unnamed pond; Then following the western shoreline of the pond in a generally northerly direction a distance of 100 metres, more or less, to the northernmost tip of the pond; Then north 15° 30' east a distance of 1,300 metres, more or less; Then north 50° 30' west a distance of 550 metres, more or less, to the southernmost tip of an unnamed pond; Then following the shoreline of the pond in a generally northwesterly and northeasterly direction a distance of 350 metres, more or less, to a point on the western shore of the pond where an unnamed brook flows into the pond; Then following the western bank of the brook in a generally northerly direction a distance of 1,150 metres, more or less, to a point where the brook flows out of an unnamed pond; Then following the western shoreline of the pond in a generally northerly direction a distance of 500 metres, more or less, to a point on the western shoreline of the pond where an unnamed brook flows into the pond; Then following the western bank of the brook in a generally northwesterly direction a distance of 275 metres, more or less, to a point where the brook flows out of an unnamed pond; Then following the western shoreline of the pond in a generally northerly direction a distance of 400 metres, more or less, to a point on the north end of the pond where an unnamed brook flows into the pond; Then following the western bank of the brook in a generally northerly direction a distance of 1,300 metres, more or less, to a point where the brook flows out of an unnamed pond; Then north 18° 30' west a distance of 5,600 metres, more or less; Then north 61° west a distance of 2,400 metres, more or less; Then south 62° 45' west a distance of 6,850 metres, more or less; Then due south a distance of 5,850 metres, more or less; Then south 40° 00' east a distance of 9,800 metres, more or less, to a point on the shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle; Then following the highwater mark of the shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle by way of Bailey Head Point, Shoal Cove Point, West Point , Buckle Cove, The Basin, The Harbour and Steamer Cove to the point of beginning at Little Capstan Cove. Also including the islands known as Penny Island , Saddle Island and Twin Island . All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, 1985 edition. 201/92 Newfoundland Regulation 201/92 is repealed. ©Earl G.
