CNLR 936/96 - Steady Brook Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act

CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 936/96 Steady Brook Municipal Planning Area under the Urban and Rural Planning Act (O.C. 96-173) Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Steady Brook Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING AREA Beginning at a point on the southern bank of the Humber River where an unnamed indefinite brook enters that river more specifically having co-ordinates north 5 424 732 metres and east 441 865 metres; Then in a southeasterly direction along the western bank of that brook to the northern limits of the Trans Canada Highway , Route 1; Then in a southwesterly direction along the limits of Route 1, 2,965 metres, more or less, to a point more specifically having co-ordinates north 5 422 357 metres and east 439 847 metres; Then south 60° 30' east 29 metres, more or less, to the northern limits of a cut-off portion of the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway more specifically having co-ordinates north 5 422 348 metres and east 439 873 metres; Then in a general westerly direction along the limits to a point where the old Corner Brook/Deer Lake Highway intersects the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1; Then due north to the northern limits of that highway; Then along the northern limits of the Trans Canada Highway , Route 1, in a westerly direction to the point of intersection with the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area; Then running due north along the Corner Brook Municipal Planning Area to the shoreline of the Humber River ; Then along the southern bank of the Humber River in a generally northeasterly direction to the point of beginning. All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances and co-ordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:2500 Flood Risk Map, 1976 and the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping. 70/94 Newfoundland Regulation 70/94 is repealed. ©Earl G.
