CNLR 1040/96 - Chance Cove Provincial Park Proclamation under the Provincial Parks Act

CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 1040/96 Chance Cove Provincial Park Proclamation under the Provincial Parks Act (O.C. 96-189) Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park. The Chance Cove Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 194/80, is repealed. Back to Top Schedule All that piece or parcel of land situate and being in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say: Commencing at a point, that point being the southwest corner of a bridge over Rural Route No. 5 at Chance Cove and bearing south 78° 04' 13" east from the Trepassey Communications Tower; Then running south 78° 28' 53" west a distance of 50.1 metres to the point of commencement; Then turning and running south 2° 17' 58" west a distance of 6,519 metres by Crown land; Then following the shoreline of Frenchman's Cove and Chance Cove at low water ordinary spring tides to an iron pin designated as point No. 1; Then turning and running north 10° 20' 21" west a distance of 5,484.8 metres by Crown land; Then turning and running by Rural Route No. 5 north 47° 55' 06" west a distance of 33.2 metres; Then running by Rural Route No. 5 north 33° 26' 51" west a distance of 96.9 metres; Then running by Rural Route No. 5 north 24° 15' 52" west a distance of 949.3 metres; Then turning and running north 38° 02' 13" west a distance of 71.4 metres; Then turning and running north 55° 02' 27" west a distance of 104.4 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then turning and running north 75° 14' 45" west a distance of 153.6 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then turning and running south 71° 50' 33" west a distance of 249.5 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then running north 87° 14' 14" west a distance of 45.6 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then turning and running north 85° 51' 00" west a distance of 206.6 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then running north 83° 07' 08" west a distance of 217.1 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then running north 71° 34' 29" west a distance of 690.7 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then turning and running north 84° 55' 58" west a distance of 383.1 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then running north 86° 57' 01" west a distance of 299.3 metres by Rural Route No. 5; Then running north 86° 42' 37" west a distance of 279.3 metres by Rural Route No. 5, more or less, to the point of commencement, and containing in all an area of 2,068 hectares.
