Brain Tumour Awareness Month Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 19

Preamble Brain tumours are a devastating disease. They strike people of all ages from newborns to seniors, cross all economic, social and ethnic boundaries and affect people in all walks of life. Brain tumours are the most common cause of solid cancer in children. Early detection and treatment are vital for a person to survive brain tumours. Brain tumour research, patient and family support services and awareness among the general public are essential to promote early detection and treatment of brain tumours. Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows: Brain Tumour Awareness Month 1.
