Interpretation 2 In these regulations, “Act” means The Crown Corporations Act, 1993. 7 Jan 94 cC-50.101 Reg 1 s2. (2) The following securities and categories of securities are designated for the purposes of subsection 29(9) of the Act: (a) respecting CIC: (i) all bonds, debentures or other securities that mature within two years of the date of purchase; (ii) all shares and equity investments that are acquired in the normal course of its money management activities; (iii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities that were purchased pursuant to an agreement entered into before the coming into force of the Act; (iv) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities purchased by CIC for the purposes of administering any superannuation plan or benefits program; (v) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities acquired as a result of proceedings under legislation relating to bankruptcy or insolvency; (vi) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities transferred from one wholly-owned subsidiary of CIC to another; (vii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities of any business organization acquired by CIC Asset Management Inc., if the total value at any time of all shares, bonds, debentures and other securities of the business organization acquired by CIC Asset Management Inc. does not exceed $30 million; (a.01) Repealed. 24 Apr 2020 SR 44/2020 s5. (i) respecting Saskatchewan Government Insurance: (i) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities of any business organization acquired by Saskatchewan Government Insurance, if the total value at any time of all shares, bonds, debentures and other securities of the business organization so acquired does not exceed $10,000,000; (ii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities that were purchased pursuant to an agreement entered into before the coming into force of the Act; (iii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities acquired as a result of proceedings under legislation relating to bankruptcy or insolvency; (iv) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities transferred from one wholly-owned subsidiary of Saskatchewan Government Insurance to another; (i.1) respecting Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation: (i) all shares and equity investments that are acquired in the normal course of its money management activities; (ii) all bonds, debentures or other securities that mature within two years of the date of purchase; (iii) all shares, debentures, loans, guarantees, interests in joint and other ventures or in investment funds or pools, and all other securities that are purchased or acquired pursuant to the powers of Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation set out in clauses 17(1)(a) to (f) of The Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation Act; 6 C-50.101 REG 1 CROWN CORPORATIONS, 1993 (j) respecting Saskatchewan Power Corporation: (i) all bonds, debentures or other securities that mature within two years of the date of purchase; (ii) all shares and equity investments that are acquired in the normal course of its money management activities; (iii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities that were purchased pursuant to an agreement entered into before the coming into force of the Act; (iv) all shares, bonds, debentures and other securities acquired as a result of an investment authorized pursuant to section 44 of The Power Corporation Act; (v) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities acquired as a result of proceedings under legislation relating to bankruptcy or insolvency; (vi) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities transferred from one wholly-owned subsidiary of Saskatchewan Power Corporation to another; (k) respecting Saskatchewan Telecommunications: (i) all bonds, debentures or other securities that mature within two years of the date of purchase; (ii) all shares and equity investments that are acquired in the normal course of its money management activities; (iii) all shares, bonds, debentures or other securities that were purchased pursuant to an agreement entered into before the coming into force of the Act; (iv) Repealed. 24 Apr 2020 SR 44/2020 s5.
