Prohibition re accepting or soliciting gifts 2(1) No employee of the authority shall accept or solicit any gift, service, benefit or special treatment that could be viewed: (a) as payment for services rendered through his or her employment with the authority; or (b) as capable of influencing the employee in the performance of his or her duties with the authority. (2) Subsection (1) does not preclude an employee of the authority from accepting any gift, service, benefit or special treatment that represents: (a) the normal exchange of hospitality between persons doing business together; (b) token items exchanged as part of protocol; (c) common business practice; or (d) the normal exchange of gifts between friends. 10 Jan 2003 cA-18.011 Reg 1 s2. Workplace policies 3 The rules established by these regulations are in addition to any terms of employment, policies and procedures, and code of conduct established by the authority respecting the conduct and behaviour of its employees. 10 Jan 2003 cA-18.011 Reg 1 s3. Coming into force 4(1) Subject to subsection (2), these regulations come into force on the day on which section 21 of The Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Amendment Act, 2002 (No. 2) comes into force.
