In order to preserve the integrity of the original statutes and regulations, errors that may have appeared are reproduced in this consolidation. 2 SR 153/73 CHRONIC ENDSTAGE RENAL DISEASE, 1973 SASKATCHEWAN REGULATION 153/73 under The Health Services Act – Clauses 53(a) and 60(b) REGULATIONS UNDER THE HEALTH SERVICES ACT Title 1 These regulations may be cited as The Chronic Endstage Renal Disease Regulations, 1973. Interpretation 2 In these regulations: (a) “chronic endstage renal disease” means a chronic kidney condition sufficiently severe that the person with such condition requires renal dialysis or transplantation, or both, and in either case, continuing post‑operative care; (b) “designated physician” means a duly qualified medical practitioner appointed by the minister for the purpose of these regulations who directly specializes in providing services to persons with chronic endstage renal disease; (c) “minister” means the Minister of Public Health. 6 Jly 73 SR 153/73 s2. Designation 3 The following class of persons is hereby designated as a class of persons for whom the minister may pay part or the whole of the cost of providing health services received by them: Every person who resides in Saskatchewan and who: (a) has a chronic endstage renal disease; and (b) has been recommended to the minister by a designated physician for the purpose of the regulations; and (c) has been accepted by the minister as being a person for whom part or the whole of the cost of health services provided to him should be paid. 6 Jly 73 SR 153/73 s3.
