Objects and purposes 3 The objects and purposes of the Ministry of Highways are the following: (a) to provide the structure wherein and whereby the powers, responsibilities and functions of the Minister of Highways may be exercised and carried out; (b) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to transportation services and facilities; (c) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to: (i) water, sewage and other infrastructure and facilities of municipalities; and (ii) the infrastructure program of the Government of Canada; (d) to collect, assimilate and publish information concerning matters relating to transportation; (e) to provide information to municipalities respecting the planning, design, construction, improvement and maintenance of public highways; (f) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to roads, bridges, ferries and general transportation in or affecting municipalities. 20 Nov 2020 c E-13.1 Reg 22 s3.
