Ministry continued 2 The ministry of the Government of Saskatchewan called the Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is continued as the Ministry of Community Safety. 19 Dec 2025 c E-13.1 Reg 33 s 2. Objects and purposes 3 The objects and purposes of the Ministry of Community Safety are to provide the structure wherein and whereby the powers, responsibilities and functions of the Minister of Community Safety may be exercised and carried out in relation to the following: (a) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to the custody, detention, support and rehabilitation of young offenders and adult offenders; (b) to plan, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan related to policing; (c) to plan, develop, furnish, equip, administer, manage, operate, maintain and repair facilities for the care or treatment of persons to whom section 36 of The Summary Offences Procedure Act, 1990 or subsection 30(1) or 42(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Canada) applies; (d) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement public safety policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to: (i) emergency planning, coordination and services; (ii) disaster assistance; and (iii) fire commissioner services; (e) to coordinate, develop, promote and implement initiatives, policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to community safety. 19 Dec 2025 c E-13.1 Reg 33 s 3.
