Ministry established 2 The ministry of the Government of Saskatchewan called the Ministry of Energy and Resources is established. 9 Feb 2018 cE-13.1 Reg 9 s2. Objects and purposes 3 The objects and purposes of the Ministry of Energy and Resources are to provide the structure wherein and whereby the powers, responsibilities and functions of the Minister of Energy and Resources may be exercised and carried out in relation to the following: (a) to co-ordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan for the economic and orderly development of minerals and mineral resources of Saskatchewan; (b) to co-ordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan related to: (i) the exploration for, development of and management of non-renewable resources; and (ii) the development and management of energy; (c) to work together with businesses, communities, governments and ministries to support and encourage the growth and development of the Saskatchewan forestry industry; (d) to co-ordinate, develop, promote and implement policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan: (i) to enhance the competitiveness of the Saskatchewan forest industry; (ii) to increase investment in the Saskatchewan forest industry; and (iii) to support and encourage value-added production in the Saskatchewan forest industry. 9 Feb 2018 cE-13.1 Reg 9 s3.
