Interpretation 2(1) In these regulations, “Northern Provincial Forest” means the Northern Provincial Forest described in Part III of the Appendix to The Forest Resources Management Regulations. (2) Any reference in these regulations to a provincial highway, provincial road or municipal road is a reference to the provincial highway, provincial road or municipal road as published in the most recent version of the Saskatchewan Official Road Map that is based on data maintained by the ministry over which the minister responsible for the administration of The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997 presides. (3) Any reference in these regulations to a provincial highway, provincial road, municipal road, road or trail as a wildlife management zone boundary means the centreline of the referenced provincial highway, provincial road, municipal road, road or trail is deemed to be the boundary. (4) Any reference in these regulations to a provincial highway containing four lanes as a wildlife management zone boundary means the centreline of the westbound or southbound lane is deemed to be the boundary. (5) In these regulations, references to Sections and Legal Subdivisions by number are inclusive. 11 Apr 2014 SR 15/2014 s3. Wildlife management zones 3(1) Subject to subsection (2), the wildlife management zones described in Part I of the Appendix are constituted as areas for managing, harvesting, controlling or regulating wildlife. (2) If all or part of any of the following areas is contained within the boundaries of a wildlife management zone, that area or part is not part of the wildlife management zone: (a) any game preserve, road corridor game preserve or wildlife refuge constituted by these regulations; (b) any provincial park, protected area, recreation site, historic site or park land reserve constituted pursuant to The Parks Act; (c) any regional park established pursuant to The Regional Parks Act, 1979; (d) Repealed. 2 Jan 2009 SR 130/2008 s3. DRACKLEY WILDLIFE REFUGE The Drackley Wildlife Refuge consists of that portion of the south-east quarter of Section 6, in Township 24, in Range 7, West of the Third Meridian shown as Parcel “G” on a plan of record in the Land Titles Office for the Moose Jaw Land Registration District as No. 91MJ13580. DRUMHELLER WILDLIFE REFUGE Drumheller Wildlife Refuge consists of the north-east quarter of Section 35, in Township 52, in Range 18, West of the Second Meridian. EASTWOOD WILDLIFE REFUGE Eastwood Wildlife Refuge consists of the following lands in Section 21, in Township 50, in Range 11, West of the Third Meridian: (a) the north-west quarter; (b) the north-east quarter, excepting 0.36 hectares for a Roadway as shown on Plan 85B04808. FAIRY ISLAND WILDLIFE REFUGE Fairy Island Wildlife Refuge consists of Fairy Island located in Emma Lake at 53o 37' N, 105o 57' W. FISHING LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Fishing Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of all those portions of the north-west and the south-west quarters of Section 29 and of the north-east and south-east quarters of Section 30, in Township 33, in Range 11, West of the Second Meridian, which are from day to day not covered by the waters of Fishing Lake. FRENCHMAN RIVER WILDLIFE REFUGE Frenchman River Wildlife Refuge consists of the north-east quarter of Section 23, in Township 2, in Range 13, West of the Third Meridian. GATEHOUSE ISLAND WILDLIFE REFUGE Gatehouse Island Wildlife Refuge consists of Gatehouse Island located in Kazan Lake at 55o 35' N, 108o 21' W. 79 WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT ZONES AND SPECIAL AREAS BOUNDARIES, 1990 W-13.1 REG 45 HEGLUND ISLAND WILDLIFE REFUGE Heglund Island Wildlife Refuge consists of Heglund Island located in Cypress Lake at 49o 28' N, 109o 28' W. HIDDEN VALLEY WILDLIFE REFUGE Hidden Valley Wildlife Refuge consists of the north half of Section 21, in Township 20, in Range 20, West of the Second Meridian.

HORSESHOE LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Horseshoe Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of the south-east quarter of Section 2, with the exception of the north half of Legal Subdivision 8, in Township 29, in Range 5, West of the Second Meridian. JANUSSON WILDLIFE REFUGE Janusson Wildlife Refuge consists of the south-west quarter of Section 28, in Township 31, in Range 11, West of the Second Meridian. KLOPPENBURG WILDLIFE REFUGE Kloppenburg Wildlife Refuge consists of the north-west quarter of Section 12, in Township 37, in Range 23, West of the Second Meridian. LENORE LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Lenore Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of the islands located in Lenore Lake on the north- east quarter of Section 16, in Township 41, in Range 21, West of the Second Meridian. INGVALD OPSETH WILDLIFE REFUGE Ingvald Opseth Wildlife Refuge consists of the north-east quarter of Section 6, in Township 45, in Range 23, West of the Second Meridian. ISLE OF BAYS WILDLIFE REFUGE Isle of Bays Wildlife Refuge consists of the Isle of Bays located in Old Wives Lake at 50o 07' N, 105o 55' W. MUD LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Mud Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of the islands located in the following portions of Mud Lake, in Township 34, in Range 16, West of the Second Meridian: (a) the east half of Section 21; (b) the west half of Section 22; (c) the south-west quarter of Section 27; and (d) the south-east quarter of Section 28. 80 WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT ZONES AND W-13.1 REG 45 SPECIAL AREAS BOUNDARIES, 1990 NISKU WILDLIFE REFUGE Nisku Wildlife Refuge consists of the following lands lying West of the Third Meridian: (a) that portion of Section 31, in Township 22, in Range 1, lying to the north and west of the graded road running through the Section; (b) the south-west quarter of Section 6, in Township 23, in Range 1; (c) Sections 35 and 36, in Township 22, in Range 2; and (d) in Township 23, in Range 2: (i) Sections 1 and 2; (ii) the east half of Section 10; (iii) Section 11; and (iv) the south half and the north-west quarter of Section 12. OSAGE WILDLIFE REFUGE Osage Wildlife Refuge consists of all those portions of the north-west, south-east and south-west quarters of Section 26, in Township 11, in Range 12, West of the Second Meridian shown as Parcel “A” on a plan of record in the Land Titles Office for the Regina Land Registration District as No. 76 R 35290. PRESTON LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Preston Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of an island located in Preston Lake at 57o 24' N, 109o 11' W. PRIMROSE LAKE WILDLIFE REFUGE Primrose Lake Wildlife Refuge consists of the following lands lying West of the Third Meridian: (a) those portions of sections 6, 8, 17, 21, 27, 28 and 34 not covered by the waters of Primrose Lake and sections 7, 18, 19, 20 and 29 to 33 in projected Township 68, in Range 26; (b) those portions of sections 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, and 24 not covered by the waters of Primrose Lake and sections 4 to 10, and 14 to 23 in projected Township 69, in Range 26; (c) section 35 east of the Saskatchewan-Alberta border and that portion of section 36 not covered by the waters of Primrose Lake in projected Township 67, in Range 27; (d) that portion of section 1 not covered by the waters of Primrose Lake and sections 12, 13, 24, 25, 36 and sections 2, 11, 14, 23, 26 and 35 east of the Saskatchewan-Alberta border in projected Township 68, in Range 27; and (e) sections 1, 12, 13, 24 and sections 2, 11, 14 and 23 east of the Saskatchewan- Alberta border in projected Township 69, in Range 27. 81 WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT ZONES AND SPECIAL AREAS BOUNDARIES, 1990 W-13.1 REG 45 REDBERRY WILDLIFE REFUGE Redberry Wildlife Refuge consists of all the islands in Redberry Lake excluding Gramiak Island. ROCK ISLAND WILDLIFE REFUGE Rock Island Wildlife Refuge consists of Rock Island located in Dore Lake at 54o 43' N, 107o 10' W. SCHEELHAASE ISLAND WILDLIFE REFUGE Scheelhaase Island Wildlife Refuge consists of Scheelhaase Island located in Suggi Lake at 54o 22' N, 102o 49' W. SIBLEY WILDLIFE REFUGE Sibley Wildlife Refuge consists of the following lands lying in Township 45, in Range 14, West of the Third Meridian: (a) that portion of the north-west quarter of Section 15, consisting of 16.6 acres, lying south and west of Lake No. 2 on the Township Plan dated December 6, 1904; (b) that portion of the south-west quarter of Section 15, consisting of 109.5 acres, lying north and west of Lake No. 2 on the Township Plan dated December 6, 1904; (c) the south-east quarter of Section 16; (d) the north-east quarter of Section 16, consisting of 150.50 acres not covered by the water of Lake No. 2 on Township Plan dated December 6, 1904, as shown on a plan of record in the Land Titles Office for the Battleford Land Registration District as Plan 94 B 13130; and (e) the north-east quarter of Section 9.
