Minister's Order Highway 24 - Increasing Weight Designation - Chitek Lake

MINISTER’S ORDER NO.: 24-2025-WI2 ORDER for Increasing Weight Designation on Provincial Highways Pursuant to clause 35.1(1)(d) of The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997, the Minister hereby Orders: 1. For the purpose of managing traffic on and protecting provincial highways, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that effective 12:01 AM, September 19, 2025 unless restricted by a Minister’s Order issued under clause 35.1(1)(a) of The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997, any person, vehicle or class of vehicles is hereby authorized to operate at the weights set for primary highways pursuant to The Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations, 2010, on Provincial Highway 24 from the junction with the access for the Chitek Lake lagoon to the Chitek Lake recreational site, with the exception of the period between March 31 to July 1 of each year. 2. Clause (kk) of Appendix D of The Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations, 2010 (the 15 Kilometre Rule), is not in effect under this Order.
