Interpretation 2 In these regulations, “Act” means The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act. 19 May 2006 cS-0.1 Reg 1 s2. Specified use 3 For the purposes of subclause 4(1)(f)(vii) of the Act, “specified use” means, in relation to property, the use of property for: (a) the manufacture or production of a controlled substance, as defined in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (Canada), in contravention of that Act; or (b) child sexual exploitation or activities related to child sexual exploitation. 19 May 2006 cS-0.1 Reg 1 s3. Other methods or materials of fortification 3.1 The following methods or materials are prescribed for the purposes of subclause 38(1)(b)(v) of the Act: (a) metal screens or mesh on exterior doors or windows with a gauge that exceeds normal usage for insect or pest control; (b) armoured or specially reinforced walls; (c) armoured or specially reinforced exterior fencing; (d) the use of razor wire, barbed wire, embedded glass, nails or other sharp items in, on or around an exterior fence; (e) structural impediments placed in windows or doors that will negatively affect access to or exit from the property; (f) trenches, pillars, barriers or other impediments designed to impede motor vehicle access to the property; (g) surveillance equipment that is directed to property external to the property on which the building is located. 5 Oct 2007 SR 103/2007 s2. 4 S-0.1 REG 1 SAFER COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBOURHOODS Forms 3.2(1) A demand to vacate pursuant to clause 6(1)(f.1) of the Act is to be in Form A of the Appendix. (2) A community safety warning pursuant to clause 6(1)(f.3) of the Act is to be in Form B of the Appendix. 19 Nov 2021 SR 121/2021 s3. Coming into force 4 These regulations come into force on the day on which they are filed with the Registrar of Regulations. 19 May 2006 cS-0.1 Reg 1 s4. 5 SAFER COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBOURHOODS S-0.1 REG 1 Appendix FORM A DEMAND TO VACATE [Clause 6(1)(f.1) of The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act] To: ____________________________________________________________________________ (tenant’s name) Take notice that the Director of Community Operations, having investigated a complaint pursuant to The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act, has determined that in order to resolve the complaint you must, immediately upon service of this demand upon you, or such later date as may be agreed to by the Director, vacate the following property: ________________________________________________________________, Saskatchewan. (address) This demand is made on the grounds that: (a) one or more of the following activities are taking place, entitling the Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan to issue a Community Safety Order pursuant to subsection 8(1) of The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act: (i) activities on or near the property adversely affecting the community or neighbourhood in which the property is located; or (ii) activities on or near the property creating a serious and immediate threat to the health, safety and security of one or more occupants of the property or other persons in the community or neighbourhood; or (b) you or other persons permitted on the property engaged in noxious, offensive or illegal activities that entitle your landlord to receive an order for immediate possession of the property pursuant to section 68 of The Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
