In order to preserve the integrity of the original statutes and regulations, errors that may have appeared are reproduced in this consolidation. 2 c 66/2000 WOOD RIVER CONSTITUENCY BY-ELECTION CHAPTER 66 An Act respecting a By-election in the Constituency of Wood River Short title 1 This Act may be cited as The Wood River Constituency By-election Act. Delwood F. Huyghebaert deemed elected 2 Notwithstanding any other Act, with respect to the by-election held in the constituency of Wood River on June 26, 2000 for the purpose of electing a member of the Legislative Assembly, Delwood F. Huyghebaert is deemed to have been duly elected at that by-election. 2000, c 66/2000, s 2. Duties respecting election to be performed 3 All things and proceedings that are required by The Election Act, 1996, The Controverted Elections Act or any other Act to be done or taken with respect to the by-election described in section 2 are to be done or taken in the same manner that they would have been done or taken, and when done or taken have the same effect that they would have had, as if this Act had not been passed. 2000, c 66/2000, s 3. Powers and privileges preserved 4 All things and proceedings that, pursuant to The Election Act, 1996, The Controverted Elections Act or any other Act, may be done or taken with respect to the by-election described in section 2 may be done or taken in the same manner that they might have been done or taken, and when done or taken have the same effect that they would have had, as if this Act had not been passed. 2000, c 66/2000, s 4. Consequences if Delwood F. Huyghebaert determined not to be duly elected 5 If, after all things or proceedings mentioned in section 3 have been done or taken or the time within which all things or proceedings mentioned in section 4 may be done or taken has expired, it appears that Delwood F. Huyghebaert was not duly elected: (a) section 2 is repealed; and (b) Delwood F. Huyghebaert ceases to be a member of the Legislative Assembly. 2000, c 66/2000, s 5.
