About this statute

This part sets up the Advocate for Children and Youth office, requires confidentiality, and gives the Advocate powers and duties for investigations, reports, and administration. The current Children’s Advocate continues in office as Advocate for Children and Youth until the appointed term ends, unless the person dies, resigns, or is suspended or removed under this Act. This Act starts when The Ombudsman Act, 2012 comes into force.
