Interpretation 2 In this Act, “minister” means the member of the Executive Council to whom for the time being the administration of this Act is assigned. 1993, c C‑51.01, s 2. Responsibilities of minister 3 The minister may: (a) develop, initiate, conduct and encourage policies, programs and activities that provide for the orderly cultural, physical and social development of Saskatchewan or of any class of persons within Saskatchewan; (b) conduct studies and surveys, collect information and compile statistics with respect to: (i) cultural, physical and social activities; (ii) the facilities where those activities are held; and (iii) the measures being taken to organize and promote those activities and to provide facilities for the holding of any or all of those activities; (c) promote the provision of additional facilities for the holding of physical, cultural and social activities; (d) disseminate information with respect to cultural, physical and social development; (e) plan, develop, construct, operate and maintain any facility for the promotion of cultural, physical and social development; (f) acquire artifacts or other items of historic or prehistoric interest; (g) perform any other responsibilities and functions that the Lieutenant Governor in Council may prescribe in the regulations. 1993, c C‑51.01, s 3.
