1 RECOGNITION OF TELEMIRACLE WEEK c R-4.4 The Recognition of Telemiracle Week Act being Chapter R‑4.4 of The Statutes of Saskatchewan, 2006 (effective May 19, 2006). NOTE: This consolidation is not official. In order to preserve the integrity of the original statutes and regulations, errors that may have appeared are reproduced in this consolidation. 2 c R-4.4 RECOGNITION OF TELEMIRACLE WEEK CHAPTER R-4.4 An Act to recognize Telemiracle in Saskatchewan Preamble WHEREAS Telemiracle was founded in 1977 by the Kinsmen Foundation; WHEREAS each year, over the last 30 years, Telemiracle has supported hundreds of funding applications per year for medical travel, special needs equipment, handi‑vans, group homes, community organizations and institutions that provide service to a wide range of Saskatchewan residents; WHEREAS over 1,000 Kinsmen and Kinettes from across Saskatchewan volunteer in Telemiracle along with television production, performers and other volunteers; WHEREAS Telemiracle is a Saskatchewan fundraising phenomenon that has raised over 68 million dollars in the last 30 years as a result of the extraordinary support of the people of Saskatchewan. THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: Short title 1 The Recognition of Telemiracle Week Act. Recognition of Telemiracle Week 2 The week immediately before the Telemiracle television fundraiser in each year is declared to be Telemiracle week in Saskatchewan. 2006, c R‑4.4, s 2.
