Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted to Alpine Joe Sportswear Ltd., Vancouver, of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on specified fabrics up to an annual quantity limit of 13,716 metres (15,000 linear yards). The remission is granted pursuant to section 2 on condition that: the specified fabrics are used by Alpine Joe Sportswear in the manufacture of uniform or hiking pants and shorts or bicycle touring shorts; the specified fabrics are imported during the period beginning on January 1, 1997 and ending on December 31, 2002; and a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within two years of the date of importation. This Order comes into force on June 18, 1998.
