Supplemental Benefits Received by Three Governor in Council Appointees Within the Department of Employment and Social Development Remission Order Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of certain supplemental benefits received in error is unreasonable and unjust, on the recommendation of the Treasury Board, the Minister of Employment and Social Development and the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development makes the annexed Supplemental Benefits Received by Three Governor in Council Appointees Within the Department of Employment and Social Development Remission Order under subsection 23(2.1)a of the Financial Administration Actb. S.C. 1991, c. 24, s. 7(2) R.S., c. F-11 Remission Remission of the supplemental benefits received due to administrative error by three Governor in Council appointees within the Department of Employment and Social Development is granted to those appointees with respect to the following positions and the following periods: the Chairperson and the Member with particular responsibilities for children’s issues, since their appointment in April 2021 as full-time members of the National Advisory Council on Poverty and during their prior tenure as Ministerial appointees under the Department of Employment and Social Development Act from September 2019 to March 2021; and the Chief Accessibility Officer, since her appointment to the full-time position in May 2022.
