Statute overview

About this statute

This preamble says the anti-money-laundering law applies to listed financial and related businesses and defines key terms used in the law. Section 114 restricts certain cash and payment-card transactions and requires covered businesses to run AML risk controls and customer due diligence. Section 35 bars retaliation against employees and former employees for reporting suspected money laundering or terrorism financing, and sets reporting and secrecy duties for management and staff.
