Statute overview

About this statute

The Minister decides certain Central Administration postings for diplomatic officials, on proposal from the Undersecretary. The Undersecretary assigns the remaining diplomatic career officials to Central Administration services based on service needs. Diplomatic service officials may be assigned on commission to certain State or ministry services, and may also work in advisory bodies of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Certain officials and diplomats must move to supernumerary status when they serve specified posts or public-interest roles under the stated conditions.
