Statute overview

About this statute

El transportista debe obtener una autorización especial de la autoridad competente de la otra Parte Contratante cuando el vehículo o conjunto de vehículos supere los límites de peso o dimensiones aplicables. Vehicles entering the other contracting party’s territory must carry proof of third-party liability insurance; if there is no certificate, the carrier must buy provisional insurance at the border. Vehicles registered in the other Contracting Party may not carry passengers or goods between two points inside the other Contracting Party’s territory. Vehicle-related authorizations under the Agreement must be kept on board and shown when requested by control agents. A carrier recognized in one contracting party must comply with the transport and road-traffic rules in force in the other contracting party when operating there.
