Statute overview

About this statute

Las Cajas de Ahorros must send specified annual and other information to the competent regional authority, within the form and deadlines set by regulation. The competent authority must deny authorization to create a savings bank if the listed requirements are not met or if close links could hinder supervision. If a Caja is authorized, the founders must complete the founding deed, register it, and start operations within 12 months of notification.
