2.12.2011 | EN | Official Journal of the European Union | L 319/11 ---|---|---|--- * * * COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) No 1245/2011 of 1 December 2011 implementing Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 on restrictive measures against Iran THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Council Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 of 25 October 2010 on restrictive measures against Iran (1), and in particular Article 36(2) thereof, Whereas: (1) | On 25 October 2010, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 concerning restrictive measures against Iran. ---|--- (2) | The Council has carried out a complete review of the list of persons, entities and bodies, as set out in Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 961/2010, to which Article 16(2) of that Regulation applies. When doing so, the Council took account of observations submitted by those concerned. ---|--- (3) | The Council has concluded that the persons, entities and bodies listed in Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 should continue to be subject to the specific restrictive measures provided for therein. ---|--- (4) | The Council has also concluded that the entries concerning certain entities included in Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 should be amended. ---|--- (5) | Moreover, in view of the continued concern over the expansion of Iran’s nuclear and missiles programmes expressed by the European Council on 23 October 2011 and in accordance with Council Decision 2011/783/CFSP of 1 December 2011 amending Decision 2010/413/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Iran (2), additional persons and entities should be included in the list of persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures as set out in Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 961/2010. ---|--- (6) | The list of persons, entities and bodies referred to in Article 16(2) of Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 should be updated accordingly, ---|--- HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 Annex VIII to Regulation (EU) No 961/2010 shall be amended as set out in the Annex to this Regulation.
