Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says this regulation concerns informing people about fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of new passenger cars that are sold or leased. This section defines terms used in the regulation for passenger cars, fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, labels, guides, advertising publications, brands, models, and vehicle variants. A fuel consumption and CO2 emissions label must be attached to each new passenger car model, or placed nearby where it is easy to see. The Finnish vehicle authority must prepare a fuel-consumption and CO2-emissions guide with new passenger-car importers, keep it updated at least every 12 months, and make it available free of charge at sales locations and at the authority. Sales locations must display vehicle fuel-consumption and CO2 information and keep it updated; the vehicle administration center must update its database when needed.
