I, RUAIRÃ QUINN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 28 (3) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967) (inserted by the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979)), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations: 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1984. (2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1984. 2. In these Regulations "the Regulations of 1982" means the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 75 of 1982 ). 3. The employer's redundancy contribution specified in section 28 (1) (inserted by the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979)) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), shall, in lieu of the rate specified in the Regulations of 1982 as amended by the Redundancy Payments (Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 84 of 1983 ), be calculated at a rate of 0.4 per cent. of the amount of the reckonable earnings referred to in the said Section 28 (1). 4. The Regulations of 1982 are hereby revoked.
