I, OSSIAN SMYTH, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 26 of 2022) and the Environment, Climate and Communications (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2023 ( S.I. No. 252 of 2023 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2023. 2. In this Order, “Act of 2022” means the Circular Economy and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2022 (No. 26 of 2022). 3. The 29th day of June 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2022 shall come into operation: (a) section 6; (b) sections 11 to 14. 4. The 1 day of July 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2022 shall come into operation: (a) sections 5(1) and (3); (b) sections 8 and 9; (c) section 16(a); (d) section 17; (e) section 22; (f) sections 24 and 25; (g) sections 27 to 31; (h) section 33.
