S.I. No. 69/1931 - 26 Geo. III., C. 57 (Irish) Adaptation Order, 1931. STATUTARY RULES AND ORDERS. 1931. No. 69. 26 GEO. III., c. 57 (IRISH) ADAPTATION ORDER, 1931. WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1931 (No. 34 of 1931), that the Executive Council may from time to time by order make all such general or specific adaptations of or modifications in any Irish statute having the force of law in Saorstát Eireann as are, in the opinion of the Executive Council, necessary in order to enable such statute to have full force and effect in Saorstát Eireann : AND WHEREAS the Act of the Parliament of Ireland passed in the year 1786 and entitled " An Act for Regulating the Stage in the City and County of Dublin " (26 Geo. III., c. 57 (Irish)), is an Irish statute within the meaning of the said Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1931 , and has the force of law in Saorstát Eireann : AND WHEREAS in the opinion of the Executive Council the adaptations intended to be made by this Order of the said Act of the Parliament of Ireland are necessary in order to enable such Act to have full force and effect in Saorstát Eireann : NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1931 (No. 34 of 1931), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the 26 Geo. III., c. 57 (Irish), Adaptation Order, 1931. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. 3. Section 1 of the Act of the Irish Parliament passed in the year 1786 and entitled " An Act for Regulating the Stage in the City and County of Dublin " (26 Geo. III., c. 57 (Irish)), shall be construed and have effect as if— ) the words " the Governor-General of the Irish Free State acting on the advice of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State " were substituted for the words " His Majesty, his heirs and successors " now contained therein, and ) the words " the great seal of Saorstát Eireann " were substituted for the words " the great seal of this kingdom, " now contained therein, and ) the words " or them " and " or they " now contained therein were omitted therefrom.
