The Government, on the request of the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Minister for Defence and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 11 (1) of the Public Service Management Act 1997 (No. 27 of 1997), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Appointment of Special Adviser (Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Department of Defence) Order 2025. 2. Daniel Griffin, particulars of whose address have been deposited at the offices of the Department of the Taoiseach, is appointed to be a Special Adviser to Thomas Byrne, Minister of State at the Department of Taoiseach, with effect from 29 January 2025. 3. Daniel Griffin, particulars of whose address have been deposited at the offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is appointed to be a Special Adviser to Thomas Byrne, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with effect from 29 January 2025. 4. Daniel Griffin, particulars of whose address have been deposited at the offices of the Department of Defence, is appointed to be a Special Adviser to Thomas Byrne, Minister of State at the Department of Defence with effect from 29 January 2025.
