I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsections (4) and (5) of section 1 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) and, in relation to Part 4 and section 40 of that Act, after consultation with the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024. 2. The 6th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Parts 3 and 4 and section 40 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) shall come into operation. EXPLANATORY NOTE This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation. This Order provides that the 6 day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 (Requests for remote working arrangements), Part 4 (Code of practice) and section 40 (Amendment of Workplace Relations Act 2015) of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 shall come into operation.
