REDUNDANCY PAYMENTS (VARIATION OF EMPLOYER'S REDUNDANCY CONTRIBUTION) REGULATIONS, 1986 I, RUAIRI QUINN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 28 (inserted by section 3 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979)) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations: 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1986. (2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1986. 2. The employer's redundancy contribution specified in subsection (1) of section 28 (inserted by section 3 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979) and amended by section 2 of the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984 (No. 21 of 1984)) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), shall, in lieu of the rate specified in the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1985 ( S.I. No. 75 of 1985 ), be calculated at a rate of 0.6 per cent of the amount of the reckonable earnings referred to in the said subsection (1). Given under my Official Seal, this 24th day of March, 1986.
