(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1986. (2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1986. 2. The employer's redundancy contribution specified in subsection (1) of section 28 (inserted by section 3 of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979) and amended by section 2 of the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984 (No. 21 of 1984)) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967), shall, in lieu of the rate specified in the Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1985 ( S.I.
