These Regulations may be cited as the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) (Specification of Date) Regulations, 1986. 2. In the case of an employer who is a company within the meaning of the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984 Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984 , has become insolvent as a result of the making of a winding up order or the passing of a resolution for voluntary winding up with respect to the said company, but not being a company within the meaning of section 2 of the Companies Act, 1963 , the day on which the winding up order was made or the resolution for voluntary winding up was passed is hereby specified as the day on which that employer is to be regarded as having become insolvent for the purposes of the said Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984 GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 26th day of February, 1986.
