(Received the assent of the Governor on 7th May, 2018) THE ARUNACHAL PRADESH STREET VENDORS (PROTECTION OF LIVELIHOOD AND REGULATION OF STREET VENDING) (REPEAL) ACT, 2018 (ACT N0.12 OF 2018) An Act to provide for repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2011 ( No. 4 of 2011). · WHEREAS, the Arunachal Pradesh Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation ·of Street Vending) Act, 2011 ( State Act No. 4 of 2011) was enacted by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on the basis of the model Bill provided by the Central Government to the State Government : WHEREAS, consequently the Central Government, in exercise of powers under the concurrent list of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India, enacted the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 ( Central Act No. 7 of 2014) that came into force on the 1st May, 2014 and which extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir: WHEREAS, with the coming into force of the Central Act as aforesaid, the State of Arunachal Pradesh has come within the purview of the said Central Act for the matters provided for therein and whereas the said State Act has become redundant with effect from the 1st May, 2014 · NOW THEREFORE, it has become necessary to repeal the said State Act with effect from the 1st May, 2014: BE it enacted by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in the Sixty-ninth year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Street Vendors (Protection of Short title, and Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) (Repeal) Bill, 2018. commencement. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st May 2014. 2 ( 1) The Arunachal Pradesh Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation Repeal and saving. of Street Vending) Act, 2011 (Act No. 4 of 2011) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, all orders issued and all actions taken or purported to have been issued or taken under the said Act, shall be deemed to have been taken, or purprted to have been issued or taken under the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending)Act, 2014 (Central Act No. 7 of2014)".
