Repeal of Act 13 of 1985 2 ANDHRA PRADESH COLLEGE SERVICE COMMISSION (REPEAL) ACT, 2001 (25th April, 2001) ACT No. 17 of 2001 AN ACT TO REPEAL THE ANDHRA PRADESH COLLEGE SERVICE COMMISSION ACT, 1985. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh in the fifty-second year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1.Short title and Commencement - (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh College Service Commission (Repeal) Act, 2001. (2) It shall come into force in such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint. 2. Repeal of Act 13 of 1985 - (1) The Andhra Pradesh College Service Commission Act, 1985 is hereby repealed. (2) Upon such repeal,- (a) The Andhra Pradesh College Service Commission established under section 3 of the said Act shall stand abolished and all institutions together with the staff under the control of the Commission shall be transferred to such authority as the Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, specify; (b) all obligations and liabilities incurred, all contracts entered into, all matters and things engaged to be done by the Commission shall be deemed to have been incurred, entered into, or engaged to be done by, with or for the authority specified under clause (a); (c) all property, movable and immovable and all interests of whatsoever nature and kind therein invested in the Commission shall with all rights of whatsoever description used, enjoyed or possessed by the Commission vest in the authority specified under clause (a); (d) all rates, fees, rents and other sums of money due to the Commission shall be deemed to be due to the authority specified under clause(a); and (e) all suits, Prosecutions and other legal proceedings instituted or which might have been instituted by or against the Commission may be continued or be instituted by or against the authority specified under clause(a). 3 K.G.
