Citation. 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Law Officers Ordinance 2014, ROBIOT c.B.4. Establishment of the office of General Counsel. 2. The office of General Counsel is established. Appointment by the Commissioner. 3. (1) The Commissioner shall appoint a General Counsel on such terms and conditions as he considers appropriate. (2) A person shall not be appointed as General Counsel under subsection (1) unless the Commissioner is satisfied that he is fit and proper and has the appropriate qualifications and experience to undertake the duties of General Counsel. Title of “Law Officer”. 4. The General Counsel and the Principal Legal Adviser each hold the title of Law Officer. _______________ 4 5 6
