Jersey Law 1/1963 MOTOR VEHICLE DUTY (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW, 1963. ____________ A LAW to amend the Motor Vehicle Duty (Jersey) Law, 1957, sanctioned by Order of the 27th day of FEBRUARY, 1963, of the Counsellors of State on behalf of Her Majesty, being authorized thereto by Letters Patent dated the 22nd day of January, 1963. ____________ ( Registered on the 16 th day of March 1963). ______ ______ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 23rd day of October, 1962. ______ ______ T HE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law: - ARTICLE 1 (1) In paragraph (1) of Article 5 of the Motor Vehicle Duty (Jersey) Law, 1957, 1 as amended 2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”), for the words “five shillings” there shall be substituted the words “one pound”. (2) For paragraph (2) of the said Article 5 there shall be substituted the following paragraph – “(2) The Committee may by order provide for the manner in which any licence issued under this Law in respect of a mechanically propelled vehicle may be transferred and for the fee (not exceeding one pound) to be paid on any such transfer.” (3) In sub-paragraph ( d ) of paragraph (2) of Article II of the principal Law, 3 for the words “ten shillings” there shall be substituted the words “one pound”. ARTICLE 2 This Law may be cited as the Motor Vehicle Duty (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law, 1963, and shall come into force on the third Monday next following the day on which it is promulgated. A.D.
