ARTICLE 2 For Article 9 of the principal Law there shall be substituted the following Article – “ARTICLE 9 DISQUALIFICATION ON ELECTED MEMBERS FOR HOLDING OFFICE IN THE SERVICE OF THE STATES A paid officer in the part-time service of the States, or an industrial or manual worker in the service of the States or any administration of the States who becomes an elected member of the States shall cease to hold such office on taking oath of the office to which he is elected, and an elected member of the States shall be disqualified for appointment to any paid office in the service of the States or any administration of the States.” ARTICLE 3 This Law may be cited as the States of Jersey (Amendment No. 3) Law, 1975.
