Jersey Law 2/1978 MOTOR TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT No. 10) (JERSEY) LAW 1978 ____________ A LAW to amend further the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law 1935, to enable the Defence Committee to make orders prescribing fares and charges for the hire of certain types of cabs; sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 1st day of MARCH 1978. ____________ (Registered on the 28 th day of March 1978). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 15th day of November 1977. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 In Article 47 of the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law 1935, as amended 1 – (a) in paragraph (2) for the words “cabs so licensed at reasonable charges” there shall be substituted the words “such cabs,”; (b) after paragraph (2) there shall be inserted the following paragraph – “(2A) The Committee may prescribe fares and charges payable for the hire of cabs licensed under Regulations made in pursuance of paragraph (2) of this Article.” ARTICLE 2 This Law may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment No. 10) (Jersey) Law 1978 and shall come into force on such day as the States may by Act appoint.
