Jersey Law 2/1989 HOUSING (AMENDMENT No. 5) (JERSEY) LAW, 1988 ____________ A LAW to amend further the Housing (Jersey) Law, 1949, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 21st day of DECEMBER, 1988. ____________ (Registered on the 10th day of February, 1989.) ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 26th day of July, 1988. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 In paragraph (1) of Article 14 of the Housing (Jersey) Law, 1949, as amended, 1 for all of the words after the words “shall be liable to a fine” there shall be substituted the following words – “, and in the case of a continuing offence to a further fine not exceeding two hundred pounds for each day on which the offence so continues.”. ARTICLE 2 This Law may be cited as the Housing (Amendment No. 5) (Jersey) Law, 1988 and this Law and the Housing (Jersey) Laws, 1949 to 1974 2 may be cited together as the Housing (Jersey) Laws, 1949 to 1988.
