Jersey Law 4/1969 INSULAR INSURANCE (AMENDMENT No. 16) (JERSEY) LAW, 1969. ____________ A LAW to amend the Insular Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1950, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 10th day of FEBRUARY, 1969. ____________ ( Registered on the 14 th day of March, 1969 ). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 22nd day of October, 1968. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law : - ARTICLE 1 In paragraph (2) of Article 8 of the Insular Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1950, 1 as amended 2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) the word “sickness” shall be deleted. ARTICLE 2 (1) In sub-paragraph ( a ) of paragraph (2) of Article 20 of the principal Law 3 for the words “thirteen weeks” there shall be substituted the words “fifty-two weeks”. (2) Paragraph (2) of Article 21 of the principal Law 4 is hereby repealed. ARTICLE 3 (1) This Law may be cited as the Insular Insurance (Amendment No. 16) (Jersey) Law, 1969, and this Law and the Insular Insurance (Jersey) Laws, 1950 to 1968, may be cited together as the Insular Insurance (Jersey) Laws, 1950 to 1969. (2) This Law shall come into force on the promulgation thereof with the exception of paragraph (1) of Article 2, which shall be deemed to have come into force on the sixteenth day of April, 1968.
