Jersey Law 5/1997 PARISH RATE (JERSEY) LAW 1997 ___________ A LAW to authorize the levy of rate in the parishes of the Island for two years, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 19th day of DECEMBER 1996 ___________ (Registered on the 24th day of January 1997) ___________ STATES OF JERSEY ___________ The 8th day of October 1996 ___________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 A foncier rate and an occupier’s rate are hereby authorized to be made and levied in the parishes of the Island for the years nineteen hundred and ninety-seven and nineteen hundred and ninety-eight, in accordance with the Parish Rate (Administration) (Jersey) Law 1946, as amended. 1 ARTICLE 2 This Law may be cited as the Parish Rate (Jersey) Law 1997.
